Planning ahead

8/19/2015

We all have a favorite car or truck that we drive or used to own.  It's usually not fancy or fast.  Last month I bought a used truck....for 100.00.  It needed a little work and it has no bells or whistles.  However that little rusty truck is now my favorite vehicle to drive.  It's simple and it gets the job done.

When I bought it, I really didn't need it.  My thought was that it would be handy to have in the future.  In the last few weeks, there have been quite a few times where it turned out that I am glad I bought it because I really did need a truck.  If I had waited to buy a truck until I really needed it, I surely would have spent much more than 100.00.

So what can we learn from my experience?  Pre-planning for your future needs pays off.  We can all agree that being able to make decisions when you aren't under pressure is the
best way.  You can also do things very simple and still achieve the same peace of mind that your future needs are taken care of.

If you would like to see how planning ahead for your future needs can benefit your family, I invite you to give us a call and set up an appointment.  We can assist you with funeral and memorial planning as well as cemetery and monument work.

Although I have looked for a place to express my condolences to my cousin's family I do not see such a place. I will express those now. My cousin's name was Edith Papai and she is deceased as of 11.15.16, lived in Wakeman, OH and was predeceased by her husband, Steve Papai and her parents, Christopher and Virginia Meyers.

Edith and I shared a grandmother, Edith Gertrude Cavanaugh. My father was Mrs. Cavanaugh's son. We lost touch after I moved to Cleveland when I was 12; I returned when I was 22.

I just wanted to express my sorrow at Edie's passing. I recall that she was a warm, loving person...funny and fun to be with. I often regretted that life separated us at such a young age, but I'm gratified that she has such a great family...I'm sure our common grandmother would have been pleased also to see Edie's life unfold as it did. Condolences to your family and may many happy memories comfort you.
