Alfred Phil Thomas, 51, of Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2019. He was born on July 17, 1967, in Sandusky, OH. He was a 1985 graduate of Edison High School and had been working at I.A.C. in Huron for almost 20 years. He served multiple enlistments in the US Army. Phil loved working with kids. He was the Edison High School Bowling Coach, and Tee-ball Coach. He loved working in the yard.
He is survived by his girlfriend Alice Hamons, his father Alfred (Helen) Thomas, of Berlin Heights, mother Kathleen (Tim) MacGregor, of Toledo, his children, Anna and Martina, of Germany, Carmen, US Army Active, Lily, of Norwalk, and Joshua, of Germany, a Grandson, Granddaughter Mackenzie, sisters, Kim and Toni, of Toledo, Joni, of CA, and a brother Dane (Amy) Thomas, of Huron, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Sally.
Friends may call on Friday May 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights, where services will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 11:00. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
