Charles Linden

Charles A. Linden, 73, of Shinrock, died on June 19, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 6, 1942 in Olena and has lived in the area for most of his life. He was a 1961 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964, Serving in Germany and Texas. He earned Marksmanship status with several weapons. He worked at Grill Meats for 18 years and also for Eastern News. He was a member of the Sandusky American Legion, the Vermilion VFW, and the Erie County Sheriff's Posse. He enjoyed working on cars, bicycles, and small engines. He was a devoted family man who dearly loved all of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia (Murphy), his Mother, Iva Ash, of Norwalk, son Bill, of Vermilion, two daughters Deb Linden, of Berlin Heights, and Kris Linden of Shinrock, two sisters, grandchildren Jake, Josh, and Jessi Bernard, Jaclyn and Samantha Miller, Madi and Dean Linden, great-grandchildren Layla and Charlie Bernard, a son-in-law Joe Bernard, his cat and companion Chilly, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Tom in 1995, step-father Clifford Ash, and two brothers Harold Linden and Dennis Ash. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 to 9:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
