Glendola "Dodie" Zickefoose, 67, of Wakeman, OH passed away January 17, 2022. She was born July 26, 1954, in Somerset, KY and graduated from Firelands High School in 1972.
Dodie spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother. She spent an early part of her life as the lead singer in a country music band. She shared this musical gift with her three daughters and many more as a youth ministry director and music coordinator at church. Dodie took all children under her wings and was considered a mother to so many more than her own three daughters. She was blessed to spend her entire life alongside the love of her life, Wally. She wanted the world to know the love of family and Jesus Christ and made that her mission. Now that her struggle is over and she is pain-free, Dodie is "teaching the angels how to sing."
Dodie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter; daughters, Amanda (David) Brand, Jennifer (Charles) Seeley, and Mariah (Brian) Deitz. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Brooke Brand, Cheyenne Brand, Savannah Seeley, Scarlett Seeley, Hayden Deitz, and Ainsley Deitz. She also leaves behind a brother Tim (Bev) Baker, mother-in-law Mildred "Billie" Zickefoose, and sisters-in-law, Paulette Bolen, Vicki (Tim) Shafer, and Laura (Ken) Malanowski. Also left to mourn her passing are numerous nieces and nephews.
Dodie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Glen and Gatha Baker; and her granddaughter, Maranda Seeley.
