Helen Pine

August 20, 1918 — August 5, 2015

Helen A. Pine, of Sandusky, formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away on August 5, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants, and had worked for 30 years at New Departure in Sandusky. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron. She was married to her loving husband Frank for 56 years. She loved Cleveland sports teams, particularly Lebron James. She is survived by her children Carol Pine, of North Ridgeville, Catherine Pine, of Parma Heights, and Cynthia Pine, of Sandusky, ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Louise (Snopeck) Hemczak, her husband Frank, children Frank Pine Sr., Loretta Holler, and Frances Horwedel, siblings Joseph, Walter, and Ed Hemczak, Anna Farmer, Theresa Humphries, Mary Hughes, and Sister Mary Annina Hemczak SND. Friends may call on Sunday August 9, from 2:00 to 5:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. On Monday August 10, there will be visitation at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park on Bogart Road.
