Hershel "John" Cordle, 92, of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14, 2015. He was born on June 1, 1923 in Blaine, KY and has lived in Berlin Heights since 1953. He worked at the Sandusky Ford Plant retiring in 1986. He served in the US Army during WWII as a Military Policeman in Japan and the Pacific. He loved gardening, beekeeping, bluegrass music, and his CB radio. He is survived by his sons Don (Betty) Cordle, of Berlin Heights, and Hershel (Jennifer) Cordle, of Norwalk, seven grandchildren, Jeremy Cordle, Rebecca (Kelley) Brown, Jennifer (Greg) Hynes, Kyle (Sara) Cordle, Andy Cordle, Christina and Marcus Faraone, five great-grandchildren, a sister Mary Hazel- Cordle, of Louisa KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Irene (Church), parents Jesse M. and Eva (Dixon) Cordle, siblings Felicia Pritchard, Ramona Gibson, and Willis Cordle. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am.
