Jerome Green

Jerome Thomas Green, 74, of Vermilion, passed away on July 4, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center, following a brief illness. He was born on September 16, 1941 in Sandusky, and grew up in Berlin Heights. He was a 1959 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. Jerry served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Vermilion AMVETS and VFW. He served as a Cub and Boy Scout leader for many years, having received the Silver Beaver award. He is survived by his wife Janet (Schmidt), his children Lisa Green, of Vermilion, and Scott (Colleen) Green, of North Port, FL, siblings Janet Fordham, of GA, and Lewis (Sandra) Green Jr, TN, four grandchildren, Brittany, Chelsea, Zachary, and Gabrielle, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Judith (Wasem), parents Lewis W. Green Sr. and Ruthema O. Hildebrandt, and a sister Joyce Browning. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Lakeview United Methodist Church, on South Street in Berlin Heights. Burial with military rites will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
