Klaus D Pleinies, 68, of Wakeman, passed away on July 12, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born on July 14, 1946 in Stuttgart, Germany. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for Ford 47 years at Walton Hills, retiring as a Quality Manager. He was a member of the Vermilion American Legion and the Port Clinton Moose Lodge. He was a small aircraft pilot and loved camping. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Gayle, his children Monica (Keffer) Norris, of Tampa, FL, Kristina (Tony) Beletic, of Willoughby, OH, Ann Pleinies, of Lynchburg, VA, Grandchildren, Aaron and Sydney Norris, Isabella and Olivia Beletic, a brother Roland (Gabriella) Pleinies, of Wildburg, Germany, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Ann (Maltz) Pleinies. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery near Rittman, Ohio.
