Mary Ann (Petroskey) Kennedy, 86, of Vermilion, OH passed away April 25, 2021. She was born February 2, 1935 in Lorain, OH and graduated from Lorain High School. She went on to hold a couple of different positions, eventually ending her career as an administrative secretary for Ford in Avon Lake and Lorain, where she retired after 25 years. Mary Ann loved to play the organ, and played for services at church. She would play for the Live Nativity scenes, and over Zoom services during Covid, and would play and sing for the church choir. She enjoyed taking drives to Amish Country with her beloved. She had a love of ceramics, and that led her to do many craft shows over the years. Mary Ann was an avid Bingo player and loved to play with her friends.
Mary Ann was a very loving, caring person. She loved being with her family, but especially her great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Bernie (Sally) Gadomski, Lynn (Bill) Swanzer, Michael Collins, Donald (Lori) Kennedy, and Darlene (Ricky) Myrek; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a few nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred Kennedy; parents, Theodore and Catherine (Glowacki) Petroskey; and sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Dave Bruce.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery on Mason Road in Vermilion. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jim Peter.
