Nada J. Ellis, 91, of Sandusky, OH passed away November 22, 2021. She was born May 28, 1930 in Lake, WV and graduated from Logan High School. She went on to work as a laborer for the Berlin Fruit Box Factory and Norstat in Norwalk. She enjoyed reading, doing word searches, and loved eating out at restaurants. She loved going to Goodwill with her daughter, Karen.
Nada was the knowledgeable one in the family. All of her family would call her to find out when or where certain events happened. She was funny and loved to laugh. As her children say, she was just "mom."
Nada is survived by her children, Karen Ellis and Charles Ellis; grandchildren, Christopher Ellis, Melia Metcalf, Tess Chappelear, and Tyler Chappelear; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nada was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Kenneth Ellis; parents, Ray and Myrtle (Workman) Blankenship; daughters, Nancy Lou and Carol Sue Ellis; brothers, Harry and Glen Blankenship; sisters, Helen Ball and Janet Miles; and daughter-in-law, Mary Rinner.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
