Richard F. Harrell, 58, of Wellington, OH passed away unexpectedly following surgery on January 15, 2022. He was born March 30, 1963 in Sandusky, OH and graduated from Western Reserve High School. He held a few jobs, including at Green Circle Growers and Asplundh Tree Service. He went on to work as a tool and die maker for Shiloh Industries in Wellington, working there for almost 22 years. His passion was his son, Reese. He loved going on rides with Reese looking for deer. He loved campfires in the backyard, watching birds from his front porch, and every year he looked forward to taking Reese to the LaGrange Steam Engine Show at the Wellington Fairgrounds. Richard was a big teddy bear. Everyone who knew him loved him, and he will be sorely missed.
Richard is survived by his son, Reese Harrell; his former spouse, Rosalyn Harrell; siblings, John "Wade" Harrell of Grafton, OH, Janice Adkins, of Amherst, OH, Patsy (Joe) Deberry of Tunnelton, WV, and Lynn Hardins of Marietta, GA; and many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harrell and Johnnie (Haynes) Harrell; siblings, Robert Allen Harrell, Martha Jane Henderson, and Robert Lee Harrell Jr.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman, where services will be held on January 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Wakeman Cemetery.
