Ronald Carey, 86, of Clarksfield, passed away on May 19, 2020, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1933 in Ypsilanti, MI to the late Clarence and Arthuretta (Taulker) Carey and has lived in Clarksfield for most of his life. He served in the US Air Force and worked for over 40 years at the Sandusky Ford Plant as a Boiler Operator. He was a member of the Clarksfield United Methodist Church. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed wood carving, working outside, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Martha (Palmer), daughters Kathy (Shawn) Burke of Wakeman; daughter Melanie (David) Eveland of Escondido, CA; son Patrick (Dawn) Carey of Berlin Heights; son Ronald (Cynthia) Carey of Toledo; siblings Barb Stentz, Phyllis (Jim) Brown, Margaret (Bob) Graves, and Ruth (Jack) Nichols, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six half-siblings, and a great-granddaughter Robyn Carey.
Friends may call on Saturday May 23, from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Burial will follow at Wakeman Cemetery.
