Scot Ritorto

July 4, 1976 — March 1, 2022

Scot Michael Ritorto, 45, of Wakeman, OH passed away March 1, 2022. He was born July 4, 1976 in Elyria, OH and attended Western Reserve High School. Scot was self-employed as a handyman for much of his life.

Scot was a kindhearted, fun-loving man, and he was so handy he could figure out how to fix anything. He was a great cook. He was always willing to help people. His love of music started at a young age; especially playing guitar. He struggled with addiction and chronic pain for many years. The last few years he had been doing so well, but he lost his battle and died of an overdose. We loved him so much and he will be forever missed. We are so glad we learned to hate the drug but loved our Scot.

Scot is survived by his parents, Joseph Jr. and Carol (Dillon) Ritorto; his fiancée, Aretha Andrade; son, Dameon Ritorto; grandson, Ayden Adkins; brothers, Joseph Ritorto III, and Shawn (Jackie Secoy) Ritorto; niece, Kierstin (Alan) Hoyt, great nephews, Tristan and Grant Hoyt, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other family members.

There will be no services. Friends and family are welcome over to our home at 54 E. Main St., Wakeman, any time in the next couple of weeks to share memories and support.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to support those struggling with addiction and homelessness.
