Obituary

Betty Lou Baxter, of Amherst, passed away on January 12, 2021. She was born on November 9, 1938 in Berlin Heights and has lived in the Amherst area for the last 16 years. She was a 1956 graduate of Berlin High School. She owned and operated Realty By Baxter for many years. Betty was an accomplished artist. In her spare time she enjoyed china and oil painting.

She is survived by her sister Rosella Howat, niece, Dawn Smith, a nephew David Howat, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doris (Goodman) Barnes, a sister Ruth Zinck, a niece, Darlene Hering, and a great-nephew, Chris Smith.

Special thanks to Mercy New Life Hospice for the wonderful care Betty received in her final days.

Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 9:00am until time of services at 11:00am at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Pastor Dick Kretchmar will be officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
