Clarence "John" Wilbur Stafford, 82, of Berlin Heights, OH passed away July 25, 2021. He was born March 1, 1939 in Fairmont, West Virginia and moved to the area as a teenager. He went on to work as an assembly worker for the Lorain Ford plant. He loved old cars and restored several. He collected die cast cars and loved attending car shows. He even won numerous awards at the shows. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and liked to meet his friends for breakfast.
Clarence was kind and generous. He would give you the shirt off his back and was just an all-around good guy. He had a good sense of humor and he loved spending time with his family. He loved John Wayne and watching Westerns with his family.
Clarence is survived by his children, Jay (Cindy) Stafford and Kevin Stafford; step-children, Debi Cochran, Sandy (George) Townsend, Larry Mack, Sooty (Chris) Knallay, Patty (David) Massey; brother-in-law, Jim Fox; sisters-in-law, Nadine Schock, Jerry Martin, & Lorene Mann; daughter-in-law Tami Mack; grandchildren, Jay Stafford, Stephanie Stafford, and many other grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Fox) Stafford; parents, John and Louise Stafford; daughter, Deborah (Stafford) Wolgamot; son, Allan Stafford; daughter, Brenda (Stafford) Neidler; daughter-in-law, Lela (Dillman) Stafford; son-in-law, Larry Cochran; brother, John Stafford; sisters-in-law, Brenda Fox and Elizabeth Farley; and brothers-in-law, Robert Schock, Phillip Fox, Raymond Farley, Charles Martin, and Bill Mann.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Services will be held on Friday, July 30 at 11:00 AM at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
