David Rubeck, 65, passed away at his home on July 16, 2020. He was born May 6, 1955 in Port Clinton, Ohio. He graduated from Monroeville High School in 1973, and he drove semi-trucks most of his life. He married the love of his life, Brenda, September 20, 1980 and spent a blissful 40 years with her.
Dave was stubborn, but he loved his family and adored his granddaughter, Kayliana. He loved watching action movies - his favorites were the Fast and the Furious series. He loved to take his family to The Barn Restaurant in Millersburg. Most of all, Dave had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Robyck) Rubeck, his daughter, Sarah (Thurman) Cochran, granddaughter, Kayliana, sister, Betty Stump, brother, Buster Harmon, his aunt, Jeannie Bowders, and numerous nieces and nephews, and his grand-cat, Gizmo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Catherine Rubeck, his brothers, Steven and Dickie, his sister, Francis, and his beloved dog, Sammy.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 22, at 5:00pm until services at 7:00pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Catawba Island Cemetery.
