Gladys M. Butler, 92, of Wakeman, OH passed away October 12, 2020. She was born January 20, 1928 in Ashley, Ohio. She worked as a clerk for the United States Post Office where she retired after over 30 years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, and Wakeman Congregational Church. Gladys was a loving grandmother and an accomplished bowler. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, camping, and loved reading about the history of Wakeman. She had an extensive glass collection and enjoyed looking for new pieces.
Gladys could be opinionated, but she was sweet and kind. She would hang up on her kids if she didn't like what they were saying, but all in good fun. She was a good grandmother, had a great sense of humor, and was known to tell a joke or two.
Gladys is survived by her children, Richard "Dick" (Linda) Keith, Karen (John) Grills, Caroll "Bugsy" (Linda) Butler, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, a sister, June Hershey of Columbus, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Rhoda (Ferguson) Wheeler, her first husband, Roland Keith, her second husband, Leon Butler, daughter, Debbie Tock, siblings, Florence, Marie, Ralph, Wayne, and Edna.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until services at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Burial will follow at Wakeman Cemetery.
