Thomas Adam Russ, 77, of Milan, OH passed away Monday, June 7, 2021. He was born June 3, 1944 in Milan, OH. He served our nation proudly in the United States Army, as a Communications Center Specialist Cryptographer (Security Clearance) Top Secret and Marksman (Rifle M-14). As a civilian, he went on to work as a Construction Superintendent for over 50 years for numerous corporations, the final being JCL Equipment, Inc. before recently retiring.
Thomas was a hardworking man, who had a true passion for traveling, gardening, and cooking. He was widely known for his great sense of humor, storytelling, and karaoke entertainment. He was a well versed multi linguist to include Spanish, German, French and Tagalog. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Thomas is survived by his children, Tonya (Jeremy Wynn and sons- Gavin and Alex) Lloyd and Kenneth (Alexandra) Russ of Norwalk; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley Jett) Lloyd of Bellevue, Blake Russ, Katherine Russ, and Kara Russ of Norwalk; siblings, Almeta (Richard) Smith, Patricia Sipp, Theodore (Lorelyn) Russ, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by father, Karl Russ; mother, Margaret Russ; and brother, Raymond Russ.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery.
